This is an outdoor show, organized by the Hornet’s Nest Chapter of the North Carolina Etsy Street Team. You do not need to be a member of Etsy or the street team to participate.
The show will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, October 10, 2009 in Independence Neighborhood Park (the large side). The park is located at 300 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204.
Show hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Set up starts at 7:30 AM. Breakdown is immediately after the show closes. Must complete set-up by 10:00 AM and cannot breakdown prior to 5:00 PM
All items for sale must be work of the artist present. No resale, ready made items, imports, or retail items are permitted.
We will review your application and the type of items you wish to sell (jury), and reserve the right to deny entrance to the show. We also may limit the number of vendors selling similar items, so that there is a good variety of merchandise.
Food and drink items are not permitted for sale. Vendors may bring food and drink for personal consumption.
The Hornet’s Nest Street Team will provide:
*the park and 10 X 10 booth space,
*free parking,
*port-a-john,
*booth sitting services for vendor breaks,
*coffee and donuts during set-up,
*bottled water for vendors, and
*promotion/advertising.
You provide the tent (required), tables, chairs and booth setup, your wonderful handmade items for sale and a great attitude.
No electricity or running water is available.
You are responsible for collecting/paying North Carolina sales tax.
Vending spaces are 10 X 10 for a fee of $75.00 [if sharing a booth, each vendor will be responsible for half of the booth fee].
You may share space. If so, both parties must complete an application, and both are subject to jurying. If you know who you want to share with, please indicate that on the application. If you want to share, but don’t have a specific vendor in mind, we will try our best to match you up with someone.
Jurying will take place after July 31, 2009. All applications received, with payment, will be reviewed, and you will be notified of acceptance soon after this date. Applications submitted after July 31 will be considered, if there is space.
The $75.00 fee is due with the application, payable via Paypal [an account is NOT required]. This amount will be returned should your application be rejected. Should you decide not to participate in the show prior to August 25, 2009, the fee will be refunded (less any applicable Paypal fees). There will be no refund of the booth fee after August 25, 2009 (NO EXCEPTIONS).
Please remember that no application will be considered unless payment is submitted WITH the application. Once you hit submit, you will be redirected to Paypal to make your payment.
You must provide a North Carolina sales tax number with your application. If you do not have one, you can request one by visiting the North Carolina Department of Revenue [helpful information is included at the bottom of the form if you have any questions]. If you do not have the number when you send in your application, please mark the number as “pending” and then you must show proof of having one the day of the show before you will be allowed to set up.
Although insurance is not required, vendors may want to consider purchasing it. CRAFT ATTACK! and the organizers are not responsible for any damage to your merchandise or property due to weather or theft from your booth.
